Laughing

They say that laughing is the sound
That makes the world bright
It brings the flowers from the ground
And gives all men delight
Not only laughs, but smiles
Are also made this way
And if you smile awhile
You'll have a worth while day
And though the saying is quite true
And long it I have known
Laugh, and the world laughs with you
Cry, and you cry alone
In my life it was not so
And often my heart would split
With tears that wouldn't flow
So the saying didn't fit
So my own saying I'll construe
And with it I'll abide
Cry, and the world ignores you
Laugh, and you cry inside
