The one person we can never
really fool is our self.
In life, most will follow
well worn paths, but there are a few who will blaze new trails.
When ever I find myself
lost in thought, I remind myself there are worse places one could be lost
in.
There are people who say
very little, yet they tell me so very much.
If you tell me what you
know, and I the same to you, then the both of us may come to know more
than what we knew.
Sometimes the only thing
you can do is just walk away.
It takes far less effort
to smile than it dose to frown, and it feels a whole lot better.
The road to failure, and
the road to success are one and the same, it's the driver that makes the
difference.
The big things we get
through all right most of the time, it is those little pain-in-the butt
things that make us all go a little nuts now, and then.
If mistakes were worth
money, I'd be a rich man.
Some eyes speak as well
as see.
When some eyes meet, trouble
soon follows.
Some tell you one thing
with their words, and another with there eyes.
Living for tomorrow works
only if tomorrow comes.
If the speed of light
were any faster, who would notice?
In a war of words, one
should choose ones weapons carefully.
If you never make it to
the top of the hill, don't worry about it too much, remember the wind blows
much harder at the top anyway.
I suppose one could live
without love, but who would want to?
Every day can be a good
day, if you really want it to be.
How nice it is that sometimes
an old enemy can become a good friend, and how sad it is that sometimes
a good friend can become an enemy.
If I were to tell you
all that these eyes have seen, you would believe only a small part of it.
The question that is never
asked is the one that should be.
It's my life, and I'll
cry if I want to.
The truth is not so hard
to find, it is just that most do not want to hear, or see it.
If you do not remember
me, it may be because I am not the man that you once knew.
If you have time to spare,
could you loan me some?
I hope I will see you
on the other side.
Nothing is to be gained
from being hard hearted, but there is much to be lost.
It is not fair to engage
in a war of words with someone who is unarmed.
When you are right, and
you know you are right, don't it feel good?
I do not have the time
to run your life for you, some days I don't have time to run my own the
way I would like to.
If you have a date with
Destiny, you'd best not stand her up.
What is inevitable we
cannot do anything about, what is questionable we may be able do something
about.
You never know what chance
will be your last, so perhaps you should treat them all as if they were
the last.
It matters not so much
what we have faith in, as does it how much faith we have in it.
Ever wonder how what is
law, and what is right got so far apart.
When they were passing
out common sense, how did they miss so many people?
Most Heroes wear no metals.
When a warrior falls in
battle, his comrades do not cry, for in their tails of his courage, he
will never die.
The dreams of many have
been shipwrecked on the rocky shores of life.
Why is it that those you
care most about, pick the times when you are already down, to start kicking
you?
I sleep only when I have
too, it just seems such a waste of time to me.
To a child the world is
all so new, and there is so much to learn. One can't help but wish they
did not have to learn it all.
In my heart of hearts
I know what I feel is right, and it is the best feeling in the world.
There are things that
I may walk away from yet, but there will be no more running away for me.
Now that my heart is at
peace, my mind is free to ponder time, and space, and the meaning of this
thing we call life.
You need not be afraid
of me, the only person I have ever hurt has been myself.
Not all eyes see at the
same speed, that's why so many have not yet seen the light.
If you stand in the light,
you will be seen by all who come your way.
Sometimes that is good,
and sometimes it is not so good.
There are places I would
never go alone, and then there are places that alone is the only way I
will go.
There are no free rides
in the theme park of life.
There was a time when
a mans word was his bond, now if you don't watch your words, you will need
a bondsman.
At the Bank of Life, all
transactions are charged to your account, and the rates are high.
We are all the work of
the Masters hand, and even the Master has bad days.
Not even your Visa card
is taken at Heavens gate.
If you question God's
judgment too much, you may not get invited back to his house.
God knows what you need,
that is why what you want is not really important to him.
At 50, I have already
been awake more hours than most 80 years old have.
If you think you have
made it on your own, think hard, and I'll bet that somewhere along the
way you will remember someone who gave you a hand at some point, I know
there were a few who helped me.
Many has been the time
when I was far from this place, but never has there been a time when I
did not think that I would be back. This place is home to me, and I plan
to end life right here where it began for me.
Seeing a smile on the
face of someone I care about is a great joy to me.
Today I told someone I
care very mush about that they are one of my favorite people, and it made
them smile, and that made me feel very good inside.
There are so many who
need a friend, someone to let them know they have value, and worth, and
that what happens to them matters to someone.
Why is it that most cannot
understand that one can love someone without being their lover?
Let the last thing I do
in life be something for someone I love.
Self inflicted wounds
seem to heal far slower than any others, maybe it is because our pride
has to heal as well as the wounds.
All in all life has not
been so bad, but it could have been better.
When a child gets mad
over something, they get over it in a very short time, isn't it to bad
that we lose that ability as we get older.
For many years I have
been looking for something, now I know what it was, I was looking for myself.
Sometimes the only way
out is not the safest way.
How rare it is when we
find someone who understands us, and still wants to be our friend.
A debt you can never repay,
is a debt you will never forget that you owe.
There are those who make
way, those who find a way, and now and then there will be one who will
show the way.
It may take years to build
a friendship, yet it takes only a moment of thoughtlessness to end it.
Some say that there is
nothing in the dark of night that is not there in the daytime, those who
say that must have never stayed up all night out in the dark, for if they
had they would know better.
There are some who have
thrown away more love than others will ever know.
It is said that a fool
never sees the mistakes he makes in life, so at least I am not a fool any
longer.
At times understanding
will fail you, and at that point only faith can see you through.
When ask if I could take
anther's life? I answer "yes, there are things we would all kill over,
or for. After all there is still that within us all."
One who has never had
to follow orders should never be allowed to give them to others.
I would never say that
the pen is more powerful than the sword, for I truly believe that there
are times when only the sword can stop the forces of evil, but whenever
the pen can win the battle, it should be used. For blood has far more value
than ink, and the loss of a little paper, is nothing, compared to the loss
of the lives of our young.
If freedom is allowed
to fall, the blame must fall on we who have known it, and let it die.
Those who would take your
rights from you under the guise of making your life safer, are the Devil's
own, and they should be seen as such by all who wish to remain free.
Each time we lose one
of our rights, we are less free than we were before. If we allow our rights
to be taken away from us one at a time it can only end with the Whip, and
the Task Master standing over the masses once again. Only if those of sound
minds, strong believes, and true hearts prevail can we stop history from
repeating it's self.
I try not to clutter my
mind with thoughts of things I can do nothing about.
Some make being sad their
life's work, to me it is just a hobby, and one I like very little at that.
Some days my mind is like
an empty house, there are a lot of strange sounds in it, but none of them
seems to have much meaning.
When you let others into
your heart you are taking the risk of being hurt by them, but if you let
no one into your heart you are hurting yourself more than anyone else could
ever do.
If you keep coming to
the end of your rope, maybe it is time you thought about getting a longer
rope.
Danger is no a stranger
to those who speak what is on their minds, or in their hearts.
When you speak from your
heart, others sometimes do not know what to thing of that which you say,
but most understand that you do really mean it.
With my eyes closed I
see things I never see when they are open.
There are things in life
that no one can help you do, and there are things you cannot do without
the help of others.
Some things need not be
understood, they need only be accepted.
There are flowers that
bloom only at night.
If the light hurts your
eyes, it could be that you are not use to seeing it.
The storms that rage inside
us, are at times far more severe than any that rage without.
If we could see each others
thoughts, we would all do far less thinking.
The sweetest dreams are
the one we have while we are wide awake.
Warm is the heart that
can give of it's self without asking "what's in it for me".
Putting one's thoughts
into words is very hard to do, for if one does not find just the right
words, the meaning can be lost, or worse, misunderstood.
There will be those who
will want more from you than you are able to give.
Be ever careful of what
you promise others, for a promise broken, hurts them, and you. A promise
unmade hurts no one.
One should live what one
believes, not just talk about it.
We sometimes use a warped
sense of reasoning to justify the things we do.
I try not to make excuses
when I am wrong, they are usually more trouble than they are worth, I find
it is much easier to just say I am wrong, and let it go at that.
Where you are when the
sun comes up may depend on where you were when the lights went out.
I believe I could carry
a tune in a bucket if someone would put it in the bucket for me.
When ask why I should
care what happens to others, I reply, why should I not care.
Time travel is easy, as
long as you travel one way, forward, ever forward.
Not all words of wisdom
come from the wise.
There are a few that could
melt a heart made of stone.
Being poor is not a crime,
and it is I feel far better than turning to crime to keep from being poor.
The real profit in life
is the love you have known.
The truth can only live
where it is welcome.
Every now, and then Lady
Luck smiles my way, and she has a sweet smile.
In Hell all the drinks
are free, but they are all served hot.
There are no walls between
Heaven, and Hell, for none are needed. If you want to go to Hell from Heaven,
no one will stop you, and if you try to go to heaven from Hell the Devil
will talk you into staying.
If you build a better
mouse trap, you will catch a better class of mice.
What we always think is
the weakest link in the chain, is seldom the one that breaks under a heavy
load.
There are days when my
mind goes on strike.
When I look into the faces
of the young of today, I see that same hope that I once had, and I pray
that for them it will be better.
There are days when you
wonder if you were leaving a trail of blood, if anyone would notice.
At times the most well
meaning gesture can be taken the wrong way.
You know it has been a
bad day when you end up being mad at yourself.
If you have made no mistakes,
you have done very little, but you have done it very well.
The one thing I wish I
had is more time, time to put things right.
Words have little meaning
when spoken by one who dose not mean what they say.
Some people change for
the worse as they get older, I believe I have changed for the better.
Not every day will be
a good one on its own, you may have to help it along a little.
When someone you care
about makes a mistake, don't say I told you so, say I understand, and ask
what you can do to help them work it out.
When push comes to shove,
it is those who push, and shove the hardest that survive.
If I had time I would
think twice about some things, as it is I don't have time to think once
about most things.
If you have no enemies
that is good, if you have no friends that is bad.
Real friends can disagree
completely about something, and still remain real friends.
When you go too far with
something, you may find that it is a long walk back.
Being at peace with myself
is great, the only bad part is having to deal with those who are not at
peace with themselves yet.
If you can't see the forest
for the trees, you can stop looking, you are already there.
There are times when not
being noticed by others can be a good thing.
If you are always on time,
you will find yourself waiting on others more often than not.
The only sound sweeter
than that of your own heart beat is the sound of another heart that beats
only for you.
Where ever Angels gather,
it is Heaven.
To be more than we are,
we must learn to see beyond ourselves.
If you think things are
bad now, you should have been here before they got better.
At the edge of the cliff
the view is grand, but the risk is high.
There are some who never
make mistakes, they always seem to find someone else to blame for every
thing that goes wrong.
They say one picture is
worth a thousand words, yet just the right few words can create a picture
that no master can paint.
If you are mad at someone,
don't take it out on someone else who has done nothing to you.
Hurting someone who cares
about you just because you are mad at them, just is not very smart at all.
The power of the pen is
lost on those who cannot, or will not read.
When the bet is one Heart,
the stakes are high.
All gamblers know how
it feels to lose.
In the game of life the
more you win, the more you have to lose.
Not even God wins them
all, just look at humanity.
Why would anyone want
to buy themselves trouble, when there is more than enough of it to be had
for free.
Spring is a time of renewal,
or so they say, but it can be a time of ending for things that did not
make it through the winter.
When two hearts beat as
one, all is right with the world.
I some times think deep
thoughts are the only kind worth having, for when lost in them, I am free
from the trials of life.
If I cannot help myself,
then let me help someone else at least, for if there is no hope for me,
maybe there is still hope for them.
Few tears are shed today
over the fall of Rome, that is the way it is with things, and the passage
of time.
If you want no more friends
that is up to you, as for me, I have never had so many that there wasn't
room for more.
No matter how outlandish
your beliefs are, if you look hard enough, you can find followers for your
cause.
Why are so many people
with no place to go, in such a hurry to get there.
At the root of all human
relationships, there must be respect on all sides, are all is doomed from
the start.
When all else fails, try
being reasonable.
Man may have been created
in Gods image, but there the resemblance ends.
We all make mistakes,
but some of us make bigger ones than others do.
If you set your gold's
within reason, they will be easier to reach.
The last time I checked,
I still had a ways to go before I am perfect.
Some things happen because
they must.
Time spent crying over
spilt milk would be better used to clean up the mess, and get on with life.
The man who sees nothing
wrong in his life, needs to have his eyes checked.
The greatest wonder in
life is life itself.
If the question is what
makes life worth it all, then Love is the answer.
You may tell me anything
you want to, but I will decide what I will believe.
