If there is No God, Then
there is no hope. It is not for me to say
who is right, or who is wrong. It is a full time job for me, just trying
to make sure I am right as much of the time as I can be. Now that I like myself
better, I find I do not mind being alone with me as much. If there is nothing in
your life worth dying for, you do not really have a life. It is pointless to lie
to someone who would not believe you if you told them the truth. Just being old does not
give things great value, nor does great age make things worthless. The saddest of followers
is the one that dies before it has a chance to bloom. You can say that it is
better to have loved, and lost, than to have never loved at all, just don't
try telling that to someone who has just lost. It strikes me, that when
I can no longer remember the man I use to be, I will be the man I need
to be. Sad it is indeed, that
for some life is just a way to kill time between birth, and death. Some seem to have time
to kill, while others would kill for more time. A little over a year ago
I said to myself, there must be more to life than this. Now there is so
much more to my life than before, I should have had that talk with me long
ago. I find of late that my
dreams are more for others than for me. I know my credit is good,
I owe far more than I will ever make. If the shoe fits, try
on the other one. Am I the only one who
wonders where the light goes when you turn off the switch? Sleep is a Demon. that
robs me of the one thing I have far too little of, time. If I ever reach a point
in life where I stop leaning new things, I want to die right then, for
to go on living without learning new things would not be living to me. It is becoming more apparent
all the time that the price I am paying for the new me, would be a bargain
even if it were twice as high. The sounds of Spring are
sweet indeed to ears that have not heard them for oh so very long. I sometimes think that
mine is a very old soul, that has been here many times before, for so much
of what I see in life seems to be all too familiar to me. Maybe that is
why things don't get to me the way they do others, for I know what will
be, will be, that is as it has been from the beginning. Those lights you see along
the shore might just be the glow of the Angels, or they might be the fires
of Hell. Money is not the root
of all evil, Man is the root of all evil, and a man with money can really
do some evil. Maybe is one of those
words I do not like very much, for it always leaves me uncertain of what
is yet to come. My home is Earth, and
the Human race is my family. I can do no less than love them both. A photograph shows what
was there, a painting shows what the artist saw there. There is something about
a stormy day that I find I like. There are things that
only the master knows the reasons for, things that no mere human could
ever understand. If you think you are the
only one that feels the pain of those you love, we need to talk. If all those I care about
were truly happy, I could be happy too. The wisdom of age comes
to late for to many. The bravest man I ever
knew was smart enough to run when the odds were stacked against him. Those who cannot say what
they really feel are the biggest cowards of all. One should look for their
own mistakes first, and those of others later, if there is time. Of all the tears you will
shed in life, those tears of joy will be the very best. There are no time outs
in the game of life. Water under the bridge
should be seen for what it is, better than water over the bridge. Before you start making
waves, you had better check over your boat, and make sure you are ready
for rough seas. Those who should know
better, seldom do. There are many foot prints
buried under the sands of time. If you keep stepping into
the line of fire, sooner or later you will be hit by a bullet. When you cannot remember,
it is hell. If all you use to see
with is your eyes, there is much in life you will never see. The hand that guides me
now, is not my own. If you do not check your
work when you are done, you are not done. When the Master calls
your number, you go, ready are not. If only part of the facts
are allowed to be heard, how can the judgment be fair. All someone who has not
been where you have been can do is to imagine what it was like, they can
never really know. To be fair, one must have
no bias at all. I have never known anyone like that, including myself. How can saying what you
feel in your heart be wrong. The truth is what it is,
it never changes, and it is always there, even when it is not seen. Before you give someone
a piece of your mind, you should make sure you can spare it. At times the body rebels
against the abuse we give it. There are times when sorry
just doesn't cover it. I would not ask that you
live as I do, but that you live the way you see fit to, and allow me to
do the same. If it has been, it still
remains, nothing is ever really over as long as there is still life. There is still a bridge
that I must cross to get where I am going, but I have not come to it yet. Some days I feel like
I am running on empty. I ask not that the government
do things for me, I just wish it would stop doing things to me. The bigger a government
gets, the more it feeds on its own. I hope I have a few good
years left, for I still have much to do. A man who is not humbled
in the company of Kings, nor feels superior in the presence of the poor,
is a man worth knowing, and calling your friend. When two hearts beat as
one, it is a sweet sound indeed. There are things I will
never do again, some I will miss, some I will not. Once an image is burned
into your mind, you will see it over, and over for the rest of your life. In my dreams, I have had
a look at what can be, and I shall not rest until it is so. There is, every now, and
then the exception to the rule, for sometimes even when you do things all
wrong, they still turn out right. When you start pointing
the finger of blame for your not having made it to where you want to be
in life, the place to start is standing in front of a mirror. Some read only words,
while others read the meaning of the words. A rose Sometimes blooms
in the must unlikely place. Share with me your dreams,
and if I can help you make them come true, I will. The last time I said never
again, I must have forgotten about it. I know that there are
Angels, for not so very long ago one saved my life. The word on the street
is that God is dead, but I can tell you that it is not true, He lives,
and He always will. An artist paints with
brush, and colors, a writer paints with pen, and words. The cost of saying what
you feel is sometimes high, for many will hate you for being able to do
what they cannot. When you sell out your
beliefs, you never do get what they were worth. Yesterday is a fact, today
will be a fact, come tomorrow. The last thing I ever
thought I would be , is the man I have become, but I would not want to
change one thing now. The stronger one becomes,
the less one needs to hide one's weakness. Those who have nothing
to hide, most likely wish they did. What I have seen where
I have been, is nothing to what I will see where I am going. The force that is all
around us is neither good, nor evil, it is those who learn to use it well
that make it one, or the other. We can all create our
own Demons, but only God can create an Angel. There is no happiness
for those who do not seek it. No hands are as gentle
as those that understand. Yesterday could not have
been the worst day of your life, if you are still here today. One should never take
time to look back when walking on quicksand. This is the time of your
life, don't waste it. If you have not been there,
or done that, you should not try to tell someone what it is like. The door to any part of
your past is never all the way closed, as long as you can still remember
what was on the other side of the door. If there were 48 hours
in a day, instead of 24, I would only be half as far behind as I am. When you have a problem
with someone, how does telling everyone else help? Tell the one you have
the problem with, and you may find the problem will no longer be there. When you make no effort
to be liked by others, you most often will not be. I will always wonder about
things that might have been, but I shall shed no more tears over them. Walking trough a house
of mirrors lets you see yourself the way others see you, out there in the
world. Time will one day free
all of use from the bonds of this life. Mine may not have been
the best life, but at least it has been all mine. The last thing we all
need it seems, is always the next thing we get. If you do not understand
me, it's ok. I sometimes don't understand myself. What life has done to
me is nothing compared to what I have done to life. Once you admit to yourself
how wrong you have been about so many things, you find it much easier to
forgive others for their mistakes. Luck is a lady you can
never predict. When she kisses you the taste is sweet, and when she won't
even give you the time of day, you love her even more. When you give up your
dreams, you are the only one who loses anything. There are things that
no one can teach others, it is sad, but it is true, they just have to learn
them the hard way. It is pointless to look
for short term solutions to long term problems. Weapons of war serve their
owners best when they are silent. In war we must kill people
in order to stop evil ideas. If only we could find a way to kill the evil
ideas, we might be able to save the people. If you see no reason to
try to be a better person than you are, look again, surely you have missed
something! Taking a walk on the wild
side of life doesn't mean you are going wild, but it does give you a view
of life that you do not see everyday. Having second thoughts
about something is good, but when you start having third, and fourth thoughts
you are going too far. We fall in love for many
reasons, sometimes the wrong ones. Nothing should be the
color orange, not even an orange!!! You may find that doing
the right thing does not always feel good. It always takes more courage
to do the right thing, than to do the wrong thing. Seeing someone you care
about heading for a heartbreak is painful, but there is little you can
do about it. If you really care the one thing you can do is be there for
them when it comes, for that is when they will need you the most. There is much we can do
nothing about, but there are things we can, and should do. I spent most of my life
trying to get even, what a waste it was, for now I see that life got even
for me. There are things I would
not want to do again, but I am glad I done them once. The less I think about
my own wants, the more I see the needs of others. The pen as a tool has
been used to enlighten many, and to enslave many as well. The road I am on now is
the road fate has put me on, when I come to its end, I will be where I
need to be. I have come to the point
where I would rather not fight anymore, but if I find I must fight again,
I plan on fighting to win. I believe fate has picked
me, and is calling me to pick up the sword of honor, and fight for what
is right, and decent. I am not sure if I am the right man for the job,
there is still much about me that does not seem up to the task. At first
I asked myself why me, but lately I find I am asking myself why not me?
Time alone will tell. There are those who live
in a much smaller world than the rest of us. There are more who need
my help than I had thought before. Those who seem to have
so little sometimes have more than we who think we have so much. If some could not think
about themselves, they could not think at all. To be unaware of the world
around you seems to me to be unthinkable. If you refuse to learn
about things that are happening out there in the world, they will someday
over take you, and then leave you behind. If you are not happy about
the way things are in your life, change them, only you can do it. There is more than one
way to make things work, never give up your dreams just because the first
time they do not come true. The time may come when
you have to live up to the things you believe in, even if it takes all
you have to do it. There is much that is
never spoken of yet is known well. That someone else's dreams
would mean more to me than my own, is something I could have never believed
not so very long ago. There is always a way
to do what must be done. If I had my rather's I
would rather not see another tear, but I know that is a dream that cannot
come true. When the odds are even,
it is as good as it gets. The man who cannot let
go, sometimes gets dragged down by what he is hanging on to. For the first time in
my life, I feel I am closer to where I am going than where I have been. If just caring were enough,
there are many I could help. Telling someone just what
they want to hear is all right, if it is the truth. If you want to know what
fair is, you will have to ask someone else. For I cannot tell you about
something I have not seen, or known in life. We can relive the past,
only in our minds, and in our hearts. Often the words that ring
the truest are the ones we least want to hear. Who would have thought
that so much could happen to one so late in life. I wonder if a hundred
years from now anything I have done will remain? To what end I am headed
I know not, but that it will be better than where I have been, I am sure. If you are ever to find
your place in the sun, you must first weather a few storms in your life. Time has little meaning
to the truth, for it is the same then, now, and forever. Some words are as timeless
as the wind that they ride on. All travelers through
life need a place to stop, and rest now, and then. I feel the need to rest
soon, and I seek the right place to stop. Only at the darkest point
in your life will you ever see the light that shows the way, and then you
will see it only if you are looking for it. Once blinded by the light,
you will see things you never saw before. How many times a heart
can be broken before it quits working is something we never know until
it is to late. All that is, once was
not, and in time it will be no more. If you try to look to
far ahead, you may miss what is here right now. Just because the door
is open, it does not mean it is always wise to walk in. The State of hopelessness,
is a place I try not to visit, for I do not feel at home there. The problem is not saying
what you mean, it is making those you say it to understand it. Sometimes the memories
of a love that never was, are better than those of loves that were. It seems people I care
about are always walking out of my life. When you really care,
you do not have to ask yourself why. If I did not care it would
be easier, but then nothing it seems has ever been easy for me. In order to read between
the lines, you must be able to read more than just words. Being able to see what
others are thinking is not as much fun as you may think, for some have
far more troubling thoughts than most would think. Perhaps the Gods were
not so Godly when they were young either. Moving mountains is not
so hard, once you find out where to start. If you learn to use the
power within you, along with the force that is all around you, powerful
you will be indeed. The line is long where
second chances are handed out. When the ambition of youth
meets the wisdom of age many great things can happen. From the bottom of the
mountain it looks like a long ways to climb, from the top it looks like
a long ways to fall. The heart sees with different
eyes than does the mind. There are things that
once lost, you hope you will never find again. Once the wheels of fate
are set in motion there is nothing short of a miracle that can stop them. Even the most powerful
are helpless against the hand of fate. When the wind blows cold
on a warm summer night, it is a sign of things to come. I am too tried to look
for trouble anymore, So I think I'll just set down, and wait for it to
come, and find me! When I was young it seems
like everything else was too. They say the streets of
Heaven are paved with gold, maybe that is why we find so little of it here
on Earth. Why is it easier to get
what you want, than to get what you really need? If I never see the man
I use to be again, it will be too soon. The most feared predator
on Earth is a human. If you one day find yourself
in trouble, at least you have found yourself, It's a start! You may go back to the
same location, but it will never be the same place it was once. Watching someone you care
very much about go through the pains of youth is hard, for there is little
you can do to help them, it is a thing we all must do in our own way, and
in our own time. The tears of some, hurt
me more than my own. I keep telling myself
things will be all right, I don't know if it really helps, but it does
give me something to do! When the sand in an hour
glass runs out you can turn it over, and start a new. When the time in
your life runs out it is over. That we are put here for
a reason, I believe is true, but I feel many never find out what the reason
was. And God said "Let there
be Light", and there was light, but not all would see it, and some still
have not. That which I seek seems
to stay one step ahead of me all the time. Try to see what is right
in all that you view first, and then look for what is wrong. If you look only for the
bad in life, it will be all that you will find. If you have been to the
well, you know how deep down the water is. Some things stay with
us our whole life long, others we lose early on. Some people climb mountains
because they are there, I write because I have too. Seeing things for what
they really are takes the eyes of a seasoned seeker, and there are times
when the seeker takes no joy in what is seen. No one knows all the answers,
that is because not all the questions have been asked yet! There is honor for both
the winner, and the loser in a fair fight. Finding what is really
right is hard to do if one is not really looking for it. To those who doubt the
power of the force, the only thing one can say is, "You will not doubt
it once the force has touched you". Hate is a virus that can,
and often does kill. Most of the time the mind
controls the body, but there are times when the body takes control, and
the mind is helpless to stop it. If the sum of ones worth
is the total of the good deeds they have done, there are some who could
stand to increase their value! At times the mind can
bush the body to its limits. When your heart stops
working, you are dead, even if you are still alive. If you care no more, you
are no more, and if you never cared, you never were. The best you will ever
be is the way you are seen by those you love. The Gods of the Moon,
and stars are the Gods to whom I pray, for I live at night, not in day. When you are already in
hot water, the last thing you need to do is turn up the heat. Life is all about choices,
some choose well, some do not. I have gained more than
I have lost in life, but I have lost a great deal as well. Who knows what tomorrow
will bring, there is always the chance it will bring just what is
needed. There is pain in not knowing,
but such is life. Although I would not want
to go back, I do wonder what the fool I once was would do if he were here
now. There are those you will
never know as well as you might like too, and that may just be a good thing. There is danger in the
knowing of things one should not know. If we all let each other
know how we really feel about each other, at least we would all know where
we stand. The one thing in life
there always seems to be more than enough of, is pain. The reason there are more
heartbreaks in life than there are hearts is because each heart gets as
many as it can take, and more than it wants. There are those who cannot
help the way they are, they are not as strong as others. At times it is hard to
tell if some fear you when they near you, or if they fear themselves when
you are near them. There will be in life,
those you will like from the first time you meet them, and there will be
those you will never like much, even if they seem to like you. When there are words that
need saying, speak them, and when there are none needed, remain silent. That we do not know each
other better just may be both our loss. Have you ever had one
of those days when you have the feeling that something from your past is
trying to catch up with you, and you find yourself slowing down in the
hope that it will? I find my dreams, and
hopes are mostly for the young, for that they might do well, and find happiness
truly are my dreams. Love may come many times
in life, but it never gets any easier. Just being well educated
does not make one smart, nor does it prepare them to deal with the real
world. Some books make better
door stops than learning tools. That the clock is running
down for me, is some thing I am all too aware of. I once thought I would
be many things in life, and I was over the years, but I like what I am
now the best. Someday all you may have
is your memories, try to make sure you have some good ones. Knowing that the way it
is, is the way it has to be, does not make it hurt any the less. If you dig the hole deep
enough, someone will come along, and fill it in before you can get out. Those who make life their
study, have so very much to learn in just one lifetime. Those whom have gone on
ahead of us had their pain, and sorrow too, And those who come after us
will have theirs as well. When a mere man touches
an angel, a little bit of Heaven is bound to rub off on him. Time is the creation of
man, to God who is forever it has no meaning at all. How sad it is that we
still put in God we trust on our money, but we no longer trust Him with
our children in our schools.
