Have you ever had the feeling,
that the more you try to explain something, the less others understand
it?
There are times in life when
one should walk slowly, and times when one should run, and then there are
times when one should just sit down, and think before doing anything.
Most spend far more time
in the pursuit of what they want, than what they need.
Once a thing is broken it
may take a long time to put it back together, and even then it will never
be as it was before. Nowhere is this truer than in the case of a heart.
If near the end, you can
look back, and see that you have gained at least as much as you have lost,
you have done better than most, and less than only a few in life.
What is still there when
the storm clouds clear, is will worth keeping, for it was made to last,
and most things are not.
Fate favors only a few, if
you are one, you are lucky!
The hands of the clock, with
every trip around its face, wipe out all that was, and bring us to what
is.
If you are wrong about something,
someone will tell you, but if you are right, you will have to prove it
to all.
Before you go jumping in
to save the day, you should make sure it needs saving.
The only things that cannot
be bought with money, are all the things you need to be happy.
Try as you may,
you will never know the torment of the hearts of others, you will know
in life only your own.
That there is no harm in
asking, may not be as true as some would think, yet there is no other way
to really know.
I do not remember where I
was when the train to happy vil left, but I was sure not at the station.
One of the great masteries
of life is how we can care so much about some, and so little about others.
Do you ever wonder if you
have been in someone else's dreams?
Wouldn't it be nice if we
all had an alarm in our heads that would go off when we are about to do
something really stupid!
What fate has ordained cannot
be changed by a mere mortal.
It is hard to answer a question
that has not been asked yet.
Remember that just because
you change your ways, there is no guarantee that others will change theirs.
The heart can understand
things that the mind cannot comprehend.
To judge someone by their
age alone is not only unfair, it is just down right stupid.
For one of flesh, and blood
to speak of forever, seems somewhat pointless if you think about it.
The young see only tomorrow,
the old see only yesterday, it seems a shame that so few take the time
to see what is here today.
The older I get, the younger
I feel at heart. I wish it were that way for everyone.
If the 21 century brings
as much change as the 20 th. has, and one knows full well that it will,
imagine what things will be like by the time the 22 century comes around.
Some hurts go far deeper
than others, and never really get batter.
There will be times when
you will be tested right to the breaking point.
No matter how much it rains,
there are some things that never get washed away.
If the deeds you do in life,
really do all come home one day, there are some who cannot be looking forward
to homecoming.
Just when you think that
you know it all, life jumps up, and reminds you that you do not.
There are doors that are
only wide enough for one person at a time to pass through.
The best bet is that you
will lose.
If in the end all that you
have is your memories, you still have what is worth the most in life.
Thinking something is easy,
saying it sometimes is not.
Many will come into your
life, some will stay, others will move on, and a few, even though they
walk out of your life will leave a lasting memory.
A circle of lies can be broken
only by the truth at its center.
At the table of life one
sometimes has to eat a little crow.
The sourest of grapes can
make the best of wines, if given enough time.
Free advice is most often
worth just what it cost, but every now, and then you really can get something
for nothing.
The fool that knows that
he is a fool is one step ahead of the one that doesn't.
The only fire hotter than
those of hell, is the fire of passion.
Fair weather friends are
never to be found when the storms of life grow near, but true friends keep
an eye on the weather, and know just when to appear.
There are those that fear
one who ask nothing of them, but offer to do anything for them.
The true measure of a man
is what he stands for, and how much he can stand before he breaks.
If you are alone, it could
be because you want it that way.
From here to eternity may
not be as far as you think.
My list of things not to
do again seems to be getting longer all the time.
As much as I am looking forward
to tomorrow, I would never wish away today, for I truly want every day
I have coming to me.
If only there was a way others
could learn from my mistakes, it could save them a lot of pain.
When asked what race I am,
my reply is always the same, ( Human) for that is the way I see it.
Many will tell you how they
feel about things, but only you can decide how you feel about them.
The only race I am entered
in is the Human race, and win or lose, I hope others will say of me when
I am gone, " He ran a fair race".
One should ride hard, shoot
straight, and speak always from the heart.
There are times when you
cannot get far enough away from the fire to keep from being burned.
I never get just a little
angry, I am kind of an all or nothing guy, so when I get angry, I am all
the way angry.
If some were as good as they
think they are, they would be better than anyone has ever been.
If you need a reason to treat
others fairly, try this one, it is the right thing to do.
You might be on the right
track, but maybe you are going the wrong way!
Even when the body grows
old, the heart can, and should remain forever young.
It is a shame that there
are so many who are so good at their jobs, yet so bad at living their lives.
There may not be time later,
if you have something you need to do, do it now.
Do your own thoughts ever
scare you?
You can never get to where
you need to be, if you are unwilling to move from where you are.
At times you may find yourself
so close to the answer, that you forget the question.
The pain of the body, pails
in comparison to the pain of the heart.
What might have been was
not, so get over it, and get on with your life.
The one thing that everyone
can come to agreement on, is that everybody, but them are wrong about things.
From where I sit now, I can
see the way it should be, but I am powerless to do anything about it. Only
if everyone sees it at the same time will it ever be changed, and that
I fear will never happen.
One should be careful what
one says about the young, remember they will be running things one day
soon.
Once you have crossed the
point of no return, there is little sense in looking back.
There are days when being
me is a job I wish someone else had.
In the depths of the mind
lie the most profound of questions, in the depths of the heart lay the
answers.
When you set out to find
yourself, you must look everywhere, remember you might really be in the
last place you would think to look.
Just having all the pieces
to the puzzle of life is not enough, you have to be able to put them all
together to solve it.
There is no shame in losing,
only pain.
Making it to the top is not
worth it if you have to leave all those you love at the bottom.
Morning always comes to soon
for those who love the night.
At the first light of dawn
those who love the night weep, for it will be hours before the night returns.
It sure wasn't me that made
the rules, if I had I would be doing much better now than I am.
There are no maps that show
the way to happiness, that is why most are still searching for it.
If all that has been, has
been for a reason, I hope at the end someone will tell me the reason.
When love in given it is
a wonderful thing, when it is given in return it is the best of all things.
The night holds no fear for
those who love it as I do.
If you truly look at all
sides of things, you will soon find that there are more than just two.
Wrapped in the cloak of darkness
one can remain invisible to those who stand in the light. That is one of
the best things about the night.
When you find your calling,
your answer should be "yes".
There is that which is wroth
every bit of the pain it may cause.
That life can be one second,
and gone the next is something I shall never get use to.
It is the seeker in me, that
keeps my eyes ever watchful for that which I have not seen before.
To be without love is the
saddest of all things.
If you can feel the pain
of others, it is proof that you care.
Most things do not last forever,
but many do last a lifetime.
The kiss of death can be
sweet to those who's pain is great.
There really are roads that
lead to nowhere.
When you assume the role
of judge, you must be ready to face the fact that you may judge wrong,
and be willing to live with that.
That they might be wrong,
never occurs to the young, but if they survive their early mistakes time
will teach them not to be so arrogant.
One may find in life that
many doors will be open to them, but one should remember that it would
not be wise to pass through some of them.
The night air is filled with
sounds you never hear in the day.
The seasons pass, the pain
does not.
For those who settle for
less than their dreams, regret is a constant companion.
Love can consume you completely,
and you will smile all the way to the end.
Now comes the night, and
the body awakens.
Writing the truth is easy,
getting others to read it, and accept it is much harder to do.
Don't tell someone you care,
unless you are willing to proof it.
The chance of a lifetime,
is your lifetime, don't let it pass you by.
So many of our young are in such
a hurry to leave their mark on this world, that the mark they leave is
all to often a pool of blood along our roadways.
I always like to play the
long shot, if I lose it comes as no surprise, and if I win, I win big!
One reason it takes so long
for some to find themselves, is that they keep looking for someone they
are not, this I have learned first hand.
If you worry to much about
keeping score in life, you may not be looking when the chance to win the
game comes along.
To be remembered is one of
the nicest things in life.
I once thought I would die
young, I never dreamed I would come alive at such a late age.
Time teaches us many things,
even when we do not want to learn them.
At times the words that are
not spoken tell you more than the ones that are.
The night knows who loves
it.
There is still that which
haunts my memory.
Try speaking with your eyes,
and seeing with your heart sometime, and you will find a whole new world
out there.
If there is an empty seat
on the next bus to hell, it may be because I have changed my ways.
You may be knocked down many
times, but the only one who can keep you down is you.
Once you find the truth,
never try to change it.
Those who have no life of
their own, sometimes try to life everyone else's for them.
If things were so good where
you came from, what are you doing here?
Most things never end the
way you think they will, up to, and including life itself.
You are not required to have
fun in life, but you will feel much better if you do.
Life comes with only one
guarantee, that is that it will end at some point.
The tools we forge today
will build the world of tomorrow.
Sometimes a face from the
past brings a tear, sometimes a smile.
Being a creature of the night
I do most of my living while most of the world sleeps.
Power knows not right from
wrong, it is those who have it that make it one or the other.
With the pen as my sword,
I wage the battle for what I believe in.
For all that time takes from
us, it does give us something back, the ability to stand our losses.
When the bill for all the
wrong you have done comes due, Will you have enough things done right to
pay it?
Before you cross the point
of no return, you might want to check your course.
There comes a time, when
time runs out.
If it was just a dream, it
was the best dream I ever had, and if it was not a dream, then it is not
over yet.
Not all triangles are equilateral.
Coming face to face with
that which you fear most can be a good thing, if you live through it!
Finding happiness is hard
to do, but harder still is holding on to it once it is found.
When two fools meet foolishness
rules.
Being fool hearted is not
being foolish it is just being Human.
If the sign up ahead says
dead end, maybe you should at least slow down!
Isn't it odd, how the obvious
seems to escape so many people?
Happiness is a State I have
been in a time or two, but it seems I never get to stay there as long as
I would like to.
The second time you do anything
it gets easier, even more so when it is a wrong thing.
Some things go without saying,
and many more should.
Walking away from something
is not the same as running away.
The true test of your beliefs,
is when no one else agrees with you, and you must stand alone, or sell
out.
Rare it is indeed, when you
find someone you can find no fault with at all.
In order to find what has
value in life, it seems you must also learn what has none at all.
When I am gone, I can care
no more, so while I am here I will care all that I can.
What we see of someone else's
life, is like what we see of an iceberg the largest part of it remains
beneath the surface.
It doesn't take much time
to tell someone you care about them, and it can last two lifetimes, theirs,
and yours.
I can still do anything I
could when I was young, I just can't do it as fast, as long, or as often
as I did then!
The rain falls because it
has nowhere else to go!
Getting old would not be
so bad if it did not hurt so much.
Cry not at my passing, for
I have only gone home at last.
If the question is why, the
answer is why not?
Not all of my thoughts are
put to paper, after all some things are best kept to oneself.
Not thinking at all about
some things is bad, and giving other things too much thought is even worse.
The reality of death should
not lessen ones love of life, is should increase it.
Time spent with those you
love, is the best investment you can make in life.
One's age has little to do
with the age of one's heart.
At the rate pieces of my
heart keep leaving with those I care about, it is a good thing my heart
keeps growing bigger.
It is raining again today,
once more the Angels cry.
At times a smile can make
you feel better than any meditation you will ever take.
The first time I cried I
did not like it, and I have liked it less every time since.
Heartbreaks come only in
one size, extra large.
Living life is hard, understanding
it is even harder.
To say that time is money,
is to cheapen its value, for Time is worth far more than that.
There are no doors that cannot
be opened if you can just find the right key.
Just because something has
never been done before, does not mean that it cannot be done, nor does
it mean that it should be done.
Perhaps the greatest sin
of all is to deny yourself happiness.
There is that from the past,
that refuses to stay in the past.
Change comes not easy, but
change one must, if that is the only way to get to where one wants to go.
We all age with the passage
of time, but not all of us grow old.
One should pass the torch
to the young, not make them take it from one.
The body needs food to grow,
the heart needs love to keep beating.
Things have been better,
and they have been worse, and I hope to live long enough for them to be
both again.
It is all very fine to remember
the past, but do not dwell on it to long, for when all is said, and done
it is the future where you belong.
There are those who do not
believe in the Force, but then there will always be fools.
The Angel of darkness holds
nothing to fear for those who are not afraid of the dark.
To a mad man, reason is an
abstract thought.
Rare indeed is the day when
all goes well.
At the peak of the storm,
the senses are heighten to a state not reached in calmer times.
Whatever it was that I should
have done, I didn't.
Sorrow is something one needs
not look for in life, enough of it will find you all on its own.
The price of freedom is always
high, and many must pay for it.
It could be that I did not
forget it, I just never knew it.
In matters of love, go easy,
remember the heart you save may be your own!
The art of living, is mastered
by few.
More empires have fallen
by the stork of a pen, than by the wielding of a Sword.
A true leader must know when
to speak, and when to listen.
There are those who will
always be with you, no matter how far from them you may be, and there are
those who will never be with you, even when you are both in the same place.
Why is it that something
that has worked for so long, suddenly stops working all together?
When a warrior loses his
will to fight, he becomes just a man.
There was a time when I wondered
where I would wake up tomorrow, then came a time when I wondered when I
would wake up tomorrow. Now I find I wonder if I will wake up tomorrow!
In my mind's eye there are
images I still see, and in my heart there are pains I still feel.
Our lives have no meaning
unless we give them one.
I sometimes wonder who will
be the winner, when the human race is over.
The move from where you are
to where you want to be, may be shorter than you think if you let your
heart lead the way.
If you find you cannot let
go of your hate just yet, try keeping it in your mind, not in your heart.
For once in your heart it will only hurt you.
Those who allow wrong things
to happen, when they have the power to stop it, are as much to blame as
those who do the wrong.
If you want to slow down
the hands of the clock, just keep your eyes on them.
The last thought that comes
to most of us is that we are wrong about something.
The mind is very good at
reasoning, but it does not have the sense of feel that the heart does.
Life will kill you, if you
live it long enough.
If you give up on the young,
you have given up on the future.
The dead keep there secrets
well.
When an Angel gets angry
God only knows what will happen.
When I get messed up early
in the day, I stay messed up all day long.
You need not understand life
to enjoy it, In fact sometimes you should not try to hard to do so.
The past is where it should
be, why do people keep trying to bring it back.
If you find yourself on a
ship of fools, find out where the life boats are, and stay close to them.
Judging someone is easy,
being judged by someone else is not.
There are those who are very
hard to love, and then there are those who are far to easy to come to love.
Not so very long ago I would
have seen death as just one more thing I would have to deal with, but now
I would fight it with all my might, for the man I am now has things to
live for.
How does one tell a story
that cannot be told.
The test of time seasons
one, and shapes one's memories.
You must know what is wrong
with something before you can fix it.
Some are never really children,
and some stay children all their lives.
Have you ever wondered why
so many different people keep making the same old mistakes?
The line between saint, and
sinner is thinner than most think.
It is harder to be a friend
to some, than to others.
It is not enough to want
to be someone's friend, they have to want you as a friend as well.
Without a dream to pursue,
what is the point in being?
It is never to late to mess
up a good thing!
Looking back it all looks
very different than it did when I was looking ahead.
I still remember things that
I wish I could forget.
The biggest lie of all is
that a little lie hurts no one.
Sometimes even when you know
you have no chance of winning, you still want to play the game.
Love turns sweeter with age
like a fine wine, Hate turns sour with time like a bad one.
The best spot on the hill
is not always at the top.
At the back of my mind there
are things I think little of these days, yet they are still there.
Some must run faster than
others to keep their past behind them.
My mind gets little rest
these days, and I find I like it better this way.
I find the gap between all
age groups seems to narrow quickly once you find a subject of mutual interest.
Some people are like the
wind, they stay always on the move.
Nothing is ever over
as long as one will not give it up.
When love enters, the rules
go out the door.
Love is like a river, if
it is deep it will last, and if it is shallow it will dry up, and cease
to be.
When the flame of love dies,
all that is left are ashes of sorrow.
When you get to where you
fear nothing, you are becoming dangerous to all.
If you really know where
you belong you should not stop until you get there.
When one offers to give whatever
is needed, and ask nothing in return, it tends to scare people a little.
I once thought my happiness
was all the mattered, now I find that there are those who's happiness means
more to me than my own.

friend, your search ends right here with me.
When you give chase to your
dreams, keep in mind that you are out to catch them, not run them over.
Some eyes cannot see what
the mind cannot accept.
Those who seek to have the
light shine upon them, do not seem to understand that the light shines
only on those it seeks.
Those who fear the dark of
night are those who are always afraid when the odds are even!
The truth never dies no matter
how deep some may try to bury it.
I would share my pain with
you, but I do not believe you could take it.
For me to try to impose my
beliefs, and way of life on you would be just as wrong as it is when you
try to do the same to me.
There are things you can
do for many years before you learn to do them right, take living just for
an example.
Just as it was in the beginning,
so shall it always be, nothing will ever taste as sweet as forbidden fruit.
Many believe in keeping the
faith, while some try very hard to sell it to every one else.
Free now from my hate, I
walk much lighter, and on a much straighter line.
There is something about
those who do not smile that is so sad to me.
Eyes of ice can hide a flaming
heart.
We all need something to
get high on now, and then, to bad so many choose drugs instead of love.
Those who would be King are
already a Royal pain in the Ass!
