Just Across the waters, there
is a place where time stands still
Just across the waters, every
house sets on a hill
Just across the waters, the
sky is always clear
Just across the waters, there
is a land that knows not tears
Just across the waters, on
that shore of golden sand
Just across the waters, awaits
eternity in the promised land
Just across the waters, one
day we will meet again
Just across the waters, once
more we will walk together my old friend
The Poet W. L. Kite
Farewell My Friend
Farewell
my friend, you left long before your time
But
you will not be forgotten, in my heart, nor in my mind
Not
even death, can break the bond, between friends like you, and me
Within
my heart, you will live on, until I cross that sea
Save
me a place my friend, on that golden shore
For
one day I'll be coming, and we will meet once more
We'll
sit, and talk about old times, back when we were young
We'll
laugh about the way we were, and silly things we done
There
we'll sit, and wait my friend, together on that shore
For
we have many other friends, so we know there will be more
Farewell
my friend, I'll leave you now, so you can have a rest
Knowing
in my heart old pal, our friendship stood the test
In loving memory of my dear friend, Donnie Long

Friends
for a lifetime, we've been, you, and I.
Now
for the last time, I must tell you goodbye.
As children,
as teens, and later as men,
Never
was there a time, when we were not friends.
I ran
into you, just a few nights past,
Not
knowing that meeting would be our last.
A lifetime
of memories, I have of you friend.
The
twinkle in your eyes, that sly little grin.
That
you are charming the Angels, is a bet I will make,
For
if anyone could, you have what it takes.
Rest
easy my friend, I'll join you one day.
For
a lifetime, and more, friends we will stay.
In
loving memory of my lifelong friend

When a good man is called home, it leaves us with only our memories of
him. But it is those memories that will allow him to always be with us.
We must understand that only the flesh, and blood of the body has departed.
The essence that was the man we knew, and loved is still here with us,
and shall be until our calling. At that time we will see him once more,
and never again will there be a parting.
Still there is a hurt within our hearts, but that is the proof of just
how good a man he was. Time will ease your pain, and our memories of him
will soothe our broken hearts. God has called a good man home, Alex will
be there waiting for all of us when we get home. We must be thankful for
having had him here with us all this time. That Alex touched all our lives
has been, and shall always be a gift to us all, from God, who has not taken
him from us, but just called him home ahead of us.
Of
my friend Alex I can say with all that I am
I have
known not in this life a better man.
In loving memory of my dear friend, Alex Christensen.

We became
friends late in life
But
good friends we came to be
That
our friendship was a short one
Eases
not your loss to me
You
were far more than just my Barber
You
were a kindred soul
We
were of a kind in our thinking
Sometimes
brash, sometimes bold
We talked
about many things
That
others understand not at all
The
things in life that make it worth the living
The
big things, and the small
The
joy of a summer day
The
beauty of a winter snow
The
feeling one gets deep inside
Sitting
alone where peaceful waters flow
The
smile of a pretty girl
As
she passes by your way
The
things that make life worth
The
living day to day
Yes
my friend, I shall miss you
At
least till my call comes
Then
once more we will laugh, and talk
On
the other side old chum
Your
memory will stay with me
Until
my days are no more
I will
see you then, my old friend
When
I reach life's other shore

memory of my Dear Friend

I was
just a young man when you came into the world
I became
an Uncle on that day
I never
could have imagined back then
That
it would end this way
That
your life would end after only forty years
Seems
so hard for me to believe
The
tears are flowing from these old eyes
As
I remember you this eve
I held
you in my arms when you were so very small
I can
still remember when you first learned to crawl
Then
it seemed as if over night you learned to walk
It
wasn't long before you were learning to talk
You
were always older of mind than your years
I always
admired you for that, and for the man you came to be
I thank
God I had the chance to tell you while you were here
How
very much I loved you, and how very much you meant to me
That
I have lived long enough to see one I held as a babe called home
Brings
such sadness to my tear filled eyes
Within
my heart I will carry you with me throughout all my time
You
shall never be out of my heart, nor shall you ever be out of my mind
I am
just a mortal man, and it is not for me to know
Why
God has called you home so soon, but it hurts so to let you go
I must
trust that He has good reason to call you to His side
Perhaps
like me, He has found in you, one in whom He takes great pride

Tho
I was just your son-in-law
You
were always Mom to me
You
welcomed me into your heart so long ago
When
your Daughter brought me to your home
For
you to see
You
treated me as one of your own
With
love, and words so kind, right from the start
That
is why forever you shall have
A place
here in my heart
Tho
your little girl deserved better
You
never ran me down
A dearer
or sweeter Mother-in-law
I know
I never could have found
Over
all the years I've known you
Not
one harsh word between us passed
The
love I have in my heart for you
Shall
forever last
Mom
you may rest easy
For
you know in your heart
I
will love, and care for your little girl
Just
as you have right from the start
Sleep
now Mom, in peace, and dreams
In
God's great house above
And
when in times to come I think of you
It
will always be with love

Lost On Life's Great Sea
As a
young man he found
He
could not stay at home
So
he set out all by himself
Forevermore
to roam
A young
man, and his Father
Who
could not see eye to eye
Caused
a boy to become a wanderer
And
a Mother's heart to forever cry
In her
dreams she always saw him
For
his soul she would always pray
His
memory lived within her heart
Until
her dying day
She
would awaken from her sleep
And
call out his name in vain
No
one will ever understand
Her
suffering, and her pain
Perhaps
now up in Heaven
She
has found the son she lost
For
while among the living, her heart did pay
A price
so high in cost
For
though she loved all her children
Her
first born he would always be
Her
tears were always for him
The
one lost on life's great sea
In Loving memory of my Uncle Donald Kite, whom I never had a chance to know
For
he was lost on life's great sea
The Poet W. L. Kite
I know
your tears are painful
But
you are really not apart
For
as long as you remember
She
is still there within your heart
No one
can take her from you
She
is yours for all of time
Her
image will never leave your heart
Her
words will echo through your mind
She
will be there with you
No
matter where you may be
Just
close your eyes, and open your heart
And
your Angel's face you shall see
What
love has bound together
No
earthly power can take apart
For
all the days that you may live
You
shall have an Angel in your heart

Well
Leo, we must say goodbye for now
For
your call has come, and you’ve gone home
But
until the time the bell tolls for me
I shall
not forget the friendship we have known
I’ll
remember the soft spoken guy
I sat
with at the table, and the thoughts we shared on life
I’ll
take heart in the knowing that you are with the one you love
For
you are now once more at the side of your true love,
your wife
Tell
them to keep the coffee on up there
For
you have friends that will be coming now, and then
Be
always on the watch, out the corner of your eye
For
one day I’ll be stopping by my dear old friend
In loving memory of my dear friend, Dallas Leo Plumb
